SOLO ELECTRTIC GUITAR & VOICE SET
Mills is a UK vocalist and producer based in Berlin. She has participated in numerous diverse bands and projects including Anthony Tidds’ Mbase band ‘Quite Sane’; leading her own five piece band ‘Under Whole Egusi; tours with classical music vocal ensemble‘The Shout’ based in London & ‘Ensemble Modern’ trombonist Uwe Dierksen’s Musiktheater piece ‘Mavis’ in Germany. She has given vocal workshops and performances in Swaziland,South Africa and featured with Egyptian pianist Fathy Salama on Egyptian television as well as giving her own concerts in Cairo and Alexandria producing original recordings with pianist Amro Salah.
Her music involvement covers a wide spectrum from singing
Hildegard von Bingen to co-founding with Mo Delgado in Berlin the band ‘Frogg’ - releasing their debut album “Blink Blink”.
Mills Projects marks her personal music offerings delving into production and playing live. Mills presents her solo electric guitar & voice set revealing her writing skills in it’s most raw form. Her songs weave an intricate tapestry grounded in playful rhythmic structures with choices in harmony that set a challenging adventure for the voice and the message. Mills embraces a vast selection of music styles creating an eclectic sound overall which lies in the heart of soul/jazz. Mills Projects is planning two digital releases for this year.
