Robert Beavers
Robert Beavers wurde 1949 in Massachusetts geboren und besuchte die Deerfield Academy, bevor er 1965 nach New York zog, um sich dem Filmemachen zu widmen.
1966 enstand sein erster Film, ‚Spiracle’, und 1967 verlegte er seinen Lebensmittelpunkt nach Europa. Viele Filme entstanden in den folgenden Jahren, doch zeigte er sie kaum, und schnitt viele in den vergangenen beiden Jahrzehnten um.
Beavers wird zwei Filme zeigen:
‚Diminished Frame’, 1970/2001, 16mm, b&w and color, sound, 25min.
‚Pitcher of Colored Light’, 2007, 16mm, color, sound, 23 min.
Robert Beavers was born in 1949 in Massachusetts, where he attended Deerfield Academy, before he dropped out to move to New York in 1965, to focus on filmmaking.
His first film was ‚Spiracle’ in 1966, but in 1967 he moved to Europe, where he continued to make many films, hardly ever showing any of them. Over the course of the past twenty years Beavers began to re-edit his films.
This evening he will present two:
