Der Trompeter Mazen Kerbaj ist ein libanesischer Künstler und Cartoon-Autor, der sich auch als einer der Initiatoren und Schlüsselfiguren der Beiruter Experimental- und Improvisations-Musikszene einen Namen gemacht hat. In dem Trio Sawt Out arbeitet er gemeinsam mit den beiden Perkussionisten Burkhard Beins und Michael Vorfeld, zwei Protagonisten der Berliner Echtzeitmusik, die in den vergangenen 15 Jahren bereits in unterschiedlichen Formationen zusammenspielten.
Der Computermusiker, Programmierer und Klangkünstler Klaus Filip und der Kontrabassist und Komponist Mike Majkowski stricken in ihrem Duo Sinustöne in den Kontrabass, dehnen und komprimieren die Maschen, nehmen die Zeit sowohl glatt als auch verkehrt schwebend wahr und finden Momente, um die Maschen wieder aufzutrennen.

The trumpeter Mazen Kerbaj is a Lebanese artist and cartoon writer who has also made a name for himself as one of the initiators and key figures of Beirut's experimental and improvisational music scene. In the trio Sawt Out he works together with the two percussionists Burkhard Beins and Michael Vorfeld, two protagonists of Berlin Echtzeitmusik, who have already played together in different formations over the past 15 years.
The computer musician, programmer and sound artist Klaus Filip and the double bass player and composer Mike Majkowski knit sinus tones into the double bass in their duo, stretch and compress the meshes, perceive time as smooth as they are upside down and find moments to separate the stitches again.
